A week after an alleged violent incident with
Rihanna the night before the Grammy Awards, Chris Brown has spoken out."Words cannot begin to express how sorry and saddened I am over what transpired," he said in a statement to Access Hollywood. "I am seeking the counseling of my pastor, my mother and other loved ones and I am committed, with God's help, to emerging a better person."
With dozens of differing reports on the details of Brown's alleged assault on
Rihanna running wild this week, the "Kiss Kiss" singer said many of them were false.
"Much of what has been speculated or reported on blogs and/or reported in the media is wrong," he continued. "While I would like to be able to talk about this more, until the legal issues are resolved, this is all I can say except that I have not written any messages or made any posts to Facebook, on blogs or any place else. Those posts or writings under my name are frauds."
Brown is under investigation by the LAPD for felony criminal threat and allegedly bit and hit Rihanna , who is currently home in Barbados, according to People.
Access has learned that Brown has hired public relations firm Sitrick and Company, who sent the statement. According to its Web site, the company has represented Kim Basinger , Michael Vick, Wesley Snipes and Toni Braxton , among others.
